With ‘The Hitman’s Bodyguard’ prepared to hit the theatres on August 25, 2017, the Ryan-Samuel duo and their action sequences have been attracting a lot of attention. The director, Patrick Hughes, saw the potential for a chemical reaction between Ryan Reynolds and Samuel Jackson.

While Deadpool actor Ryan is the tightly-laced, by-the-book perfectionist Bryce, Jackson is the madcap, no-holds-barred Kincaid. “The story of THE HITMAN’S BODYGUARD appealed to me in part because it’s got that old-school, classic buddy-comedy flavour to it – with two contrasting characters with completely clashing life attitudes — and that’s something I wanted to maintain, but in a modernized way,” Hughes explains.

As THE HITMAN’S BODYGUARD careens in near-constant motion from England to The Hague, erupting into outlandish chases by car, motorbike and boat, the production spanned iconic European locations. The breathless road trip nature of the film gave director Patrick Hughes what he calls “an incredibly textured canvas to work with.”

In conjunction with cinematographer Jules O’Laughlin, production designer Russell De Rozario and Oscar®-nominated editor Jake Roberts (Best Film Editing, Hell or High Water, 2016), Hughes set out to capture the raw energy of live-wire performances set against an array of exhilarating stunts.

While we are biting our nails in excitement waiting for ‘Deadpool 2′ to hit the theatres, actor Ryan Reynolds is leaving no stone unturned in teasing us, by sharing glimpses of the much-loved characters in Cable and Domino. For die-hard Marvel Comics fans, we are often thrown into a difficult spot when a comic gets a TV or movie adaptation. Honestly, we can’t accept it if anyone fiddles with our favourite characters. But, after looking at Cable’s first official look, I am truly impressed at how brilliantly Josh Brolin fits the bill.

Looking at this picture, Josh Brolin’s portrayal shares an uncanny resemblance with the original rendition of Nathan Summers aka Cable. The filmmakers simply nailed it.

We don’t know if it’s wrong to love another anti-hero, but Josh is making things really difficult for us. In fact, Ryan too couldn’t hold himself back from complementing Josh in his own quirky way. He wrote, “we all have that one, grumpy, heavily armed Uncle from the future”, and we kind of do agree with him. For once, we might overlook his jacked up torso, but how can one ignore those fierce facial scars and that cybernetic eye. Deadpool seems to have some serious competition ahead of him and we guess he will need more than his humour to win the battle against Cable.

While we all were tripping over Cable’s badass avatar, Ryan Reynold’s personal trainer threw in yet another curveball that has now raised our impatience to a pinnacle. Ryan Reynolds seems to be working out real hard for his character of Deadpool and this picture of his ripped body only goes to prove the same. Don Saladino recently shared this picture which shows half of Ryan’s beefed up body and the other half shows him in his Deadpool suit.

@joshbrolin , you still have some work to do. 😉 – Check out Men’s Health’s interview with @vancityreynolds talking about his preparation for Deadpool 2 (link in bio). A few days ago, Reynolds created a stir on the internet when he shared the first look of Domino, the X-Force mutant. The fans were visibly divided between the comic book character and her real-life characterisation. Although we have nothing against Zazie Beets, but we have grown up imagining Domino in a different avatar and accepting someone new will take time. But, we love her look anyway in the image, where she poses in the same room lying on a Deadpool suit, next to the same fireplace.

While, Reynolds continues to tease us, there’s nothing much that we can do except for waiting for the movie to hit the theatres on June 1, 2018.
