Star Wars fans, take a deep breath and brace yourself because the official trailer of ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ is here and it is everything you ever hoped for.

After releasing a tantalizing teaser back in April this year, fans of the epic film series went into frenzy. The release of movie has been slated for the end of this year and let’s face it, it is going to be an excruciatingly long wait till Christmas, as the trailer has left us with a multitude of questions and theories. Here’s the teaser from April:

Of course, the trailer has (somehow) given us a smidge of relief from our burning curiosity, but it comes with a price and we are giving you a fair warning! In director Rian Johnson’s words, if you want to watch the movie in theatres with “fresh eyes”, you should avoid watching the trailer. (His cruelty has no limits!)

I a legitimately torn. If you want to come in clean, absolutely avoid it.

But it’s gooooood….. https://t.co/Y29K5yz8i4

The latest trailer will probably tease the hell out of you as it gives away a ton of details about the plot, however, without connecting the dots. Bottom line being, you’ll be bewildered as the confusing hints along with the stunning visuals will make you want to watch it on repeat.

The trailer picks up from where we left off in ‘Force Awakens’, in which Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) came face-to-face. The new trailer shows Rey swishing around with a bluish-white lightsaber in hand and a fearful Luke talking about a “raw strength” which “didn’t scare me enough then. It does now.” Clearly, he is in two minds about training her.

Unfortunately, this will be Carrie Fisher’s last ‘Star Wars’ appearance as general Leia Organa, as she passed away in late 2016. The trailer shows her standing in the control room of a spaceship with a worried yet pensive expression on her face as her son, Kylo Ren is poised to blow up her ship!

Kylo Ren (played by Adam Driver) is seen with a multitude of conflicting emotions across his scarred face, as he seemingly lines up a shot from his spaceship to destroy the one that his mother is on. Will he do it? Will he not? What did it mean when he said “Let the past die” and “Kill it if you have to”? See, this is what we are talking about! Too much to handle!

But the shot that has us screaming internally is when Kylo extends his hand to Rey, appearing to ask her to come over to the ‘Dark Side’. Meanwhile, we have Finn (John Boyega) returning as Stormtrooper-turned-rebel and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) as the charismatic fighter pilot.

An adorable, new bird-like creature known as a ‘Porg’ makes an appearance along with Chewbacca and the sheer cuteness will probably take away your mind from the stunning action sequences for a second.
