The season finale of ‘Game Of Thrones’ S7 is over and life will soon be dull again. So much happened in one episode, but there was one major setback that has us seething with anger. Cersei’s deceitful trick of backstabbing Daenerys and Jon Snow. She easily lies to them about the truce and readily agrees to send her army to the North to fight White Walkers. It all did sound too good to be true.

But what happened after her conversation with her brother Tyrion? The chat ends after Tyrion discovers she is pregnant, catching Cersei on an unguarded note. Was the truce in exchange of keeping the information of her pregnancy a secret? Does Tyrion agree to withhold the information if she is willing to come to peaceful terms with Daenerys?

If that is the case, Tyrion might essentially be betraying Daenerys. In his conversation with Cersei, a major chunk is devoted to the guilt he harbours on account of the deaths he caused in the family. He repeatedly stresses on how dearly he loved his niece and nephew, Tommen and Myrcella. Has he taken the moment to purge some of his guilt?

If Tyrion is indeed conniving with Cersei on this, it would also stand true to the prophecy that said Daenerys would be betrayed 3 times: once for blood, once for gold and once for love. She’s been betrayed for blood and gold but not for love so far.

Cersei has, of course, alienated the only family she had left – Jaime Lannister. Her about-turn regarding the truce doesn’t go down too well with Jaime who wants to uphold their end of the pledge but Cersei is thinking like a shrewd politician here, something only her father Tywin Lannister did. Whether we like it or not, that is exactly the kind of line of thought the modern human has today – self preservationist.

She is sharp enough to realise that Daenerys has lost one of her dragons. She tells Jaime that the absence of the third dragon at a time when Daenerys was exhibiting her power in front of her enemy means only one thing – that there is no third dragon anymore.

In withdrawing from the war against the White Walkers, she is following a very typical political tact – let your enemies fight against each other and suffer loss of life and resource. It’d be much easier to defeat whatever is left of them after the fight. Self-preservation is the key to survival in the Game of Thrones universe.

The only mistake she is making here is that she underestimates the White Walkers and assumes that they can be defeated easily. Of course, she doesn’t know the Night King has a dragon now – that bit of information has been conveniently hidden by Daenerys and camp.

Cersei is evil, vindictive and deceitful, no doubt, and she is probably digging her own grave right now, but fact remains that she is the sharpest politician in the show right now, besides Tyrion Lannister. Despite being cornered, she could still win the war, thanks to her tactics.

Well, why not? Who doesn’t like a little bit of fictional crush on the side? Especially when the men of the show look like a million dollars, can swing swords like knives, weave words like poetry and kiss with the passion of a thousand blazing suns. When the Dothraki men ride the horses, it’s like watching art come alive.

It could go on and on – that’s the beauty of the men on ‘Game of Thrones’. But as we slowly come to an end, most of the characters have been well sketched out for us to rank them as boyfriends! Here are the top 6 men on Game Of Thrones ranked as boyfriends – from best to worst!

1. Jon Snow

No guesses about this one. This man proved himself a great warrior, lover and ruler. He was loyal to his girl even after her death and he sure knows how to fight! He may be a tad bit too brave for his own good but we ain’t complaining as long as it keeps him alive. With looks like those and the power to unite the North, he is certainly at the top of this list. Also, wasn’t it so hot when he refused to bend the knee in spite of having witnessed the dragons and being on the Queen’s land?

2. Tyrion Lannister

He drinks. He knows things. And he isn’t afraid to take up arms when needed. The smallest but the smartest man on the show would make a terrific boyfriend, thanks to his quick wit, wisdom and bravery. Remember the time he was married to Sansa? That’s one great gentleman!

3. Grey Worm

Smouldering looks and tricks with the tongue–no surprises why he made it to the list in spite of his “shortcomings”. He is a valiant warrior and the silent lover and that is hot as hell! He is also a loyal subject and sure knows how to be a loyal lover!

4. Gendry

Well, okay. He just made it back to the show but have you seen him swing that thing? Also, let’s not forget that he did survive the boat ride with little experience and almost no resources! Something tells me he is going to be an amazing boyfriend!

5. Jaime Lannister

Well, no points for guessing why he’s down here. Apart from having a relationship with his own sister, he is also a man who pushed a kid down a tower for his own benefit. Even though he has changed a lot over the seasons, it still takes a lot to make him see things in the right light!

6. Theon Greyjoy

He betrayed Robb! Also, before he became the brooding victim, he used to be the guy who slept with anyone at every given opportunity. He did try to turn over a new leaf, but it’s already too late. Besides, not everybody has Greyworm’s tricks!

One of our most favourite characters on ‘Game of Thrones’ is Tormund Giantsbane, the Wilding leader who has his heart set on Brienne of Tarth. Loyal to Jon Snow and a great fighter, Tormund is a beast in battle. The man has fallen for Brienne of Tarth and has no qualms openly confessing his love for the lady, or as he says, he wants to ‘make babies’ with her.

In the 6th episode ‘Beyond The Wall’, Tormund has an interesting chat with the Hound while they are on their way to capturing a Wight. And Tormund doesn’t like to mince words when speaking of the woman he fancies.

Tormund: “I have a beauty waiting for me back at Winterfell. If I ever get back there. Yellow hair, blue eyes, tallest women you’ve ever seen, almost as tall as you.”

Hound: “Brienne of Tarth.”

Tormund: “You know her?”

Hound: “You’re with Brienne of fucking Tarth.”

Tormund: “Well, not with her yet, but I see the way she looks at me.”

Hound: “How does she look at you? Like she wants to carve you up and eat your liver?”

Tormund: “You do know her.”

Hound: We’ve met.

Tormund: “I want to make babies with her. Think of ’em, great, big monsters. They’ll conquer the world!”

Brienne, however, has not given Tormund as much as a kind glance in the show yet. We came across a few pictures of Kristofer Hivju, the actor who plays Tormund Giantsbane, without the characteristic Wildling beard he sports on the show, and we think these could make Brienne change her mind!

We must confess the 38-year-old Norwegian actor looks nothing like Tormund minus that beard. Grooming can change your look and how!

We wonder what Brienne, who clearly developed a crush on Jaime Lannister during their long voyage to King’s Landing, is thinking right now.
