Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s revelations about his personal life and affairs in his biography ‘An Ordinary Life’ shocked everyone. The actor has mentioned about his affairs, his one-night stands and his torrid affair with Miss Lovely actress, Niharika Singh. Nawazuddin has called himself a ‘rascal’ and a ‘b##t#rd who only went to women when he needed them and claims that he was not a faithful lover. Now, Niharika has come out with her version of the affair.

According to a report in Hindustan Times, Niharika Singh says,”Nawaz and I had a brief relationship during the making of Miss Lovely that lasted less than a few months. So today when he paints me as a woman in fur enticing him into her bedroom with candles, or desperately calling him and emailing other women on his behalf, I can only laugh. He obviously wants to sell his book and it would appear that he is willing to exploit and disrespect a woman just to do so. He has chosen to fabricate stories and manipulate a fleeting relationship. None of what he has written has been to my knowledge, let alone my consent. It is this very aspect of Nawaz that caused me to end my relationship with him in the first place. I have always maintained that he’s a brilliant actor. However, I had hoped these acting skills would have remained confined only to the screen. Still, I wish him well.”

Over to Nawazuddin Siddiqui now.

Since the day of its release, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ has been smashing records and the fact that it has already entered the Rs. 100 crore club further crowns this movie as the king of box office for this year. The unusual yet quirky concept was welcomed with open arms by the audience and hopefully struck the right chord with people, although his wife Twinkle Khanna’s recent post shows a different story. Having said that, although we don’t know how much of an impact the movie managed to have on humans, doggos seem to be super impressed by the movie, so much so that they have unleashed the ultimate level of toilet training.

Recently, Akshay Kumar posted this tweet where a dog not only peed in the commode but also flushed it after finishing his business. While we can’t take our eyes off this adorably smart dog, we also can’t stop thinking about his owner who trained him to such perfection. In fact, Twitter too echoed similar sentiments, but in their own sarcastic and hilarious way.

While the nation is going gaga over this movie, Hollywood isn’t far behind in admiring about this hilarious toilet training session. Earlier, actress Salma Hayek praised Akshay Kumar’s efforts and wished him luck for the movie.

Good luck to @akshaykumar on @ToiletTheFilm out today! End #OpenDefecation now! No woman should fear going to the toilet! #ToiletEkPremKatha

This time around it was Hollywood’s heartthrob Matt Damon who lauded this film that talks about open defecation. In an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times, Damon said “It’s great to have stars like Akshay and films like ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ spotlighting the open defecation crisis, as it helps to drive more awareness of not only the issues but also what can be done to tackle this and create change.” In fact, Damon too has been actively addressing the issue of open defecation on a global level, through his non-profit organization Water.org.

Kangana Ranaut’s nepotism remark had hit a raw nerve among the who’s who of Bollywood. It’s an open secret in the film industry that hasn’t exactly been too kind to outsiders. Yet, the blue blood of Bollywood refused to let the remark go down with grace. What followed was outright denial, then petty ridicule (in the form of punny jokes at the IIFA awards) and later an open letter justifying nepotism as natural selection.

Just when we thought there was no one in the industry who would own up to it and call a spade a spade, actor Emraan Hashmi spoke up. The actor who is the nephew of Mahesh Bhatt, has always been forthright and honest in an industry where diplomacy is taken as a morning pill. We have always admired Emraan for his lack of pretence and his transparent interviews.

In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, the actor confessed that nepotism exists in the industry and was the reason why he could get his first break in Bollywood, thanks to his uncle Mahesh Bhatt. “Yes, nepotism exists in our industry, and I got a break because of it. If my uncle, who is a producer and director hadn’t been there, I wouldn’t have been an actor.”

The actor had no qualms in accepting that having godfathers in the industry makes it a lot easier to penetrate the cold hard fabric of the close-knit industry, “I wouldn’t push my seven-year-old son, Ayaan, now into Bollywood. But tomorrow, if he wants to become an actor, it will be a lot easier for him because his father is an actor and producer.”

And, of course, there’s a downside to it too and Emraan is well aware of that. “The industry will try to box my son into an image that his father had and completely snatch away his individuality. They won’t let him start afresh, like an outsider.”

Finally, someone who had the guts to face the truth and say it out loud, without being self-defensive or dismissive, and without jumping to justifications about how hard work is necessary too. It takes a person who is confident in his own skin to own up to something like that. Emraan is an immensely talented actor and has given us some real powerful roles. Grounded and brutally honest, that’s the Emraan we look up to, just like most of his roles.

The magnum opus ‘Baahubali’ was not just a majestic experience but director SS Rajamouli also gave us some characters that will stay with us forever. Well, we can never forget Baahubali, Bhallaladeva, and Shivagami, but it is Kattappa’s character that took the movie to a new level.  Sathyaraj’s performance won millions of heart. If there is anyone whose character was most spoken about after Baahubali (Prabhas), it was of Kattappa.

But is there anyone who feels that someone else could have portrayed this role better? Millions of people wouldn’t even think of anyone except Sathyaraj playing the royal warrior. However, Gulshan Grover, popularly known as the ‘Bad Man’ of Bollywood thinks he would have done a better job if given the chance.

Having done over 400 films, Grover has been B-town’s favourite villain. From playing Sir Juda to Gullu, he has single-handedly ruled the industry when it came to portraying a negative character. And his performance was so real that one could fall under the illusion that he is really an evil soul.

But still, when we think about Kattapa, the loyal soldier of the Mahishmati Empire is there anyone who thinks that Bad Man could have portrayed this role better? This character that Rajamouli penned down has touched everyone’s heart and Satyaraj aced in his performance. However, Grover thinks he would have been a better pick.

“Challenging roles bring out the best in me. I’m greedy and on the lookout for such characters. When I saw Baahubali, I felt Rajamouli had wonderfully penned the character of Kattappa. And the second thing that came to my mind is that I would have played the role better. Had I got the opportunity, the character would have excelled more,” he told Hindustan Times.

The actor believes that he has all the qualities that an actor needs to play a negative character. But was Kattapa really negative?

“There is certain physicality, panache and expression that are required for such roles and I have all of them in me,” he added. The actor also shared that he would love to collaborate with SS Rajamouli and work with him.

Well, we just wonder would anyone want Grover to replace Satyaraj? We love Grover but undoubtedly Kattapa’s character was just made for Satyaraj.

Tell us what do you think about Grover playing Kattapa?
