Actor David Harbour and his girlfriend Alison Sudol are off to Antarctica as part of ‘Protect the Antarctic’ campaign of Greenpeace. The 42-year-old actor and Sudol boarded the Greenpeace ship in London to set sail for Antarctica. They will be helping in the gathering of scientific evidence with the Antarctic Ocean Sanctuary to safeguard penguins and whales. Harbour had earlier tweeted to Greenpeace asking, “how many retweets to send me someplace to tell emperor penguin couples I think they have terrific parenting ideologies?

Perhaps hone the Hopper dance with the males…” “Hmm, if you get over 200k we¿ll ask the Captain if you can join our expedition to the Antarctic and dance with the penguins,” Greenpeace had tweeted in response. Harbour took up the challenge and secured 200,000 retweets in less than five hours. “Get your dancing shoes on, because you¿ll be heading to Antarctica in no time,” Greenpeace had written to Harbour. Now, both Harbour and Sudol are heading to Antartica, and the actor, in a statement, said, “Well, Greenpeace says the Weddell Sea and its surroundings are home to a precious ecosystem, vital to sustaining our future.

And that there¿s penguins there.” “And that I’ll get to waddle around with them, discuss their parenting techniques with them and yes, yes, dance with them. And that they’ll film it. And that if maybe I get enough support from everybody, they’ll gimme that video, so I can rent it out to you (be kind, rewind please).” Sudol, who plays Queenie Goldstein in `Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them¿, said,”There is a massive movement to protect these waters, which provide invaluable refuge to marine wildlife, and I am thrilled to join Greenpeace as an Antarctic Ambassador!” The ‘Protect the Antarctic’ campaign is also supported by actors Gillian Anderson, Javier Bardem, Gwendoline Christie, Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Vanessa Kirby, Joanna Lumley, Helen Mirren, Thandie Newton, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Redgrave, Mark Rylance, Alexander Skarsgard, and other prominent celebs from around the world.

Actor Daniel Dae Kim is in negotiations to join the cast of “Hellboy” reboot after Ed Skrein left the project.

Skrein dropped out of the reboot following public outcry against whitewashing in Hollywood, saying it was important to “honour ethnic minority stories and voices in arts”.

If the deal gets finalised, Kim will play Major Ben Daimio, a rugged military member of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense, the role which Skrein was supposed to play.

Skrein had nabbed the role in August but, after a social media protest, made the unprecedented move to step down later that month.

David Harbour is playing the titular role in “Hellboy”. Neil Marshall is directing the movie, which also features Ian McShane and Milla Jovovich.
