Bollywood simply loves remakes, and so do we, but only when it’s not a senseless rip-off. Since the time we got a glimpse of ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ trailer, we can’t help but get all excited about the movie which is set to hit the screens soon.

The reboot is one of the most anticipated films of 2017 and having Dwayne Johnson in it just adds more to the thrill of witnessing the twisted world of Jumanji once again.

Bollywood often comes up with remakes and we are seriously hoping this is on their list as well. Wouldn’t it be interesting to see who will say the epic dialogues in Hindi, “Did someone roll a five or an eight?” and “WHAT YEAR IS IT?”

Thinking about the Bollywood version, we already have some fabulous ‘desi’ actors in mind that would absolutely fit the bill.

1. Dwayne Johnson – Prabhas

Known for giving his best, we can bet that Prabas will definitely justify the role of Dr. Smolder Bravestone, an archaeologist, and explorer.

2. Kevin Hart – Varun Dhawan

Who better than Varun Dhawan to play Kevin Hart role of Franklin “Moose” Finbar, a zoologist and weapons specialist? Varun fits perfectly into the funny shoes of Kevin since he himself is a big fan of the WWE star and nurtures the dream of working with him someday.

3. Jack Black – Arshad Warsi

There is no one like Arshad Warsi when it comes to comedy and wit. The man can literally leave you in splits in seconds with just a straight face. So who other than Arshad to don Jack Black’s role of Professor Sheldon “Shelly” Oberon, a cartographer, cryptographer, archaeologist, and palaeontologist? We can already imagine Arshad taking it to another level.

4. Karen Gillan – Katrina Kaif

After having played an explorer-cum-spy-cum-writer in ‘Jagga Jasoos’, Katrina is one hell of an actress who is even known for doing her own stunts. She is one who can easily transform herself into the chic jungle fighter flawlessly. Karen plays Ruby Roundhouse, a killer of men and dance fighter and this role needs someone who can do it all effortlessly and Kat is the one and only for it!

5. Director – Jake Kasdan – Rohit Shetty

Making a Bollywood version of Jumanji needs an actor who can totally pull it off with style and who better than Rohit Shetty to deal with a subject like that? Maybe Rohit should take our suggestion seriously and work on this project.

Now doesn’t that sound like a full proof plan for a blockbuster Bollywood film? The film ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ is all set to hit the screens on 29th December and we bet this reboot will be one hell of a watch.

Kolkata: Actor Kaushik Sen and his son Riddhi were allegedly heckled on Saturday night at NSC Bose International Airport in Kolkata following arguments over car parking. One airport parking agency employee was arrested after Sen, who was returning to the city from Bhubaneswar along with his wife, filed a complaint at Airport Police Station about the alleged heckling, sources in the police station said on Sunday.

The actor said the accused misbehaved with the driver of his car when he stopped the vehicle outside the domestic terminal area to drop his son, who had gone there to receive his parents. He also slapped a fine of Rs 100 on the driver for exceeding the free 10 minutes allowed to pick or drop a person.

Later, when Sen and his family were about to leave the parking lot outside the terminal, they found the accused allegedly ‘misbehaving’ with another car driver and protested against it.

“We got down from our car when we saw another gentleman and his driver were being harassed for protesting against overcharging. As we tried to intervene, I and my son Riddhi were heckled and verbally abused. We then called up the police station and some officers arrived at the spot to bring the situation under control,” he said.

Countering the actor’s claims, an official of the parking agency said Sen, his son and the occupants of another car misbehaved with the parking agency staff. He demanded that the CCTV footage be examined to ascertain what exactly happened last night.

Producer Ritesh Sidhwani says, contrary to reports, the Akshay Kumar-starrer “Gold” is not a biopic on former hockey player Balbir Singh Sr. It was being reported that the film is based on the life of hockey player Balbir Singh – played by Akshay – who was a part of the team that won the first Olympic medal for India as a free nation in 1948. Sidhwani clarified that his forthcoming film, co-produced by Farhan Akhtar under their production house Excel Entertainment, is a story based on true events, not a biopic.

“It is not a biopic. It is a completely fictional story but it is set against a real backdrop between 1933-48 India about what the country was, the sports… About hockey. It is
not based on any character,” Sidhwani told PTI in an interview here. “We have set it in real events so people (often) confuse it with a biopic. It talks about the era in which we achieved Independence and what happened with sports, (primarily) hockey at that time. It is not about a particular character and Akshay is not even playing (hockey in the film). He plays the manager,” he added.

Sidhwani said it was director of the film, Reema Kagti, who chose the National Award-winning actor for “Gold”. “When Reema came to us with the story, it was on her wish
list to go to an actor. And our job as producers is to take her to that actor, so we did that. Akshay was her choice,” he said. It is for the first time that Excel Entertainment has teamed up with Akshay.

“He is the most professional actor. He is dedicated and focused about his work. He comes on the sets and is there till you don’t finish the shoot. It is not that he will go and sit in his vanity van or have meetings or talk to people. “He is a terrific person. It was pleasure to work with him. I think this is the beginning of many associations,”
Sidhwani said. The film, also featuring Amit Sadh and Mouni Roy in key roles, is set to be released on August 15.

“Gold” is the first sports film to be backed by their banner. Sidhwani said it will be followed by another sports story, based on the Rio Paralympics silver medallist, Deepa Malik. The project is already in the works. The next most-talked about film is Zoya Akhtar-directed “Gully Boy”, featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.

“We are doing a story on a hip-hop artiste (referring to the film). It is not based on anyone’s life. It is inspired by the hip-hop circuit that exists in the underground of this city. “We start shooting in January. Most of the film will be shot on real locations in Mumbai, we are not going to shoot much on the sets,” the producer said.
